THE ROLE
Were looking for a passionate and media-savvy Account Manager to join our team on a secondment basis with one of our key clients. This is a yearly renewable contract working directly from the clients office and embedded within their communications team.
You will lead on day-to-day media relations develop strong journalist relationships and deliver standout earned coverage across key markets. This is a unique opportunity to work client-side while enjoying the support and structure of our agency network.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Media Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute proactive media relations strategies that align with client goals.
Craft compelling narratives identify pitch angles and secure targeted media placements.
Monitor news cycles to identify opportunities for thought leadership and rapid response.
Client-Embedded Communications
Act as the daily media relations lead from within the client team.
Provide on-the-ground support for media planning execution and issues management.
Collaborate with internal client stakeholders and external agency teams to ensure aligned messaging.
Content Creation
Draft and edit media materials including press releases media statements Q&As and op-eds.
Prepare briefing documents for spokespeople and coordinate interview logistics.
Media Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant journalists and media outlets.
Manage press events media briefings and coordinate reactive and proactive outreach.
Reporting & Analysis
Monitor media coverage using tracking tools and deliver coverage reports and analysis to client stakeholders.
Provide insights and recommendations based on media outcomes.
Skills and Experience
Skills and Experience
46 years of experience in public relations or journalism ideally in an agency setting or in-house corporate communications role.
Strong portfolio of earned media success across tier-one outlets.
Familiarity with the UAE landscape; an established network of journalist contacts is highly desirable.
Excellent writing editing and communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Experience supporting senior spokespeople and managing media-facing moments.
Arabic language is a MUST.

Key Details
