We are seeking a highly experienced Legal Manager to oversee all legal aspects of our real estate brokerage firm in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will ensure compliance with Abu Dhabispecific real estate laws and regulations manage legal risks and provide expert guidance on contracts disputes and compliancerelated matters.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi real estate laws including ADGM and Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) regulations.
- Monitor and implement changes in laws and regulations affecting the real estate industry.
- Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies for approvals and legal matters.
- Draft review and negotiate contracts such as tenancy agreements property sales agreements MOUs and vendor contracts.
- Ensure all contracts align with Abu Dhabispecific legal requirements and protect the company s interests.
- Handle legal disputes related to property transactions leasing agreements and brokerage operations.
- Represent the firm in arbitration mediation or litigation when necessary.
- Address and resolve customer and thirdparty complaints from a legal perspective.
- Identify potential legal risks and propose strategies to mitigate them.
- Develop and implement risk management practices in line with local laws and regulations.
- Provide legal advice to management and internal teams on real estate transactions regulatory issues and operational decisions.
- Assist with licensing permits and compliance with Abu Dhabi property regulations.
- Maintain and organize all legal and compliancerelated documentation.
- Develop and oversee internal policies for managing legal and regulatory documents.
- Work closely with external legal counsel when required.
- Coordinate with local regulatory authorities and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- A bachelor s degree in Law (LLB) is required; a Master s degree or specialisation in real estate law or corporate law is preferred.
- 4 to5 years of legal experience with at least 3 years in the Abu Dhabi real estate sector.
- Proven expertise in contract negotiation dispute resolution and legal compliance.
- Strong understanding of Abu Dhabi real estate laws ADGM regulations and DMT requirements.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills for contracts and agreements.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
