Job Description

The main purpose of the job is to manage monitor promote and implement Quality Health Safety Security and Environmental standards and procedures as per requirements of the government and company s directives.

The job exists to coordinate with various government entities and external parties perform assessments and provide recommendations advise management on QHSSE issues and educate employees on QHSSE concepts through training and awareness campaigns to develop employee induction. In addition to facilitate QHSSE audits and inspections in line with international national and local standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. QHSSE Compliance:

    • Develop and enforce QHSSE systems policies and procedures tailored to marine operations.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements international maritime regulations and company policies (ISO 45001 ISO 14001 and other relevant standards).
    • Coordinate with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and certifications.
  2. Risk Management:

    • Conduct hazard identification risk assessments and mitigation plans specific to marine activities.
    • Investigate incidents accidents and nearmisses providing detailed reports and corrective action recommendations.
  3. Audits and Inspections:

    • Plan and conduct QHSSE audits inspections and drills on marine vessels and facilities.
    • Address nonconformities and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
  4. Training and Awareness:

    • Deliver QHSSE training sessions for marine personnel focusing on safe practices emergency procedures and environmental compliance.
    • Promote a safetyfirst culture through awareness campaigns and regular briefings.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of audits inspections and QHSSE performance metrics.
    • Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and external stakeholders.
  6. Stakeholder Coordination:

    • Liaise with internal teams clients subcontractors and marine suppliers to ensure adherence to QHSSE standards.
