Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Safety Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As a Safety Officer you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and contractors.
- Develop implement and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards
- Investigate incidents accidents and nearmisses providing detailed reports and recommendations
- Deliver safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety awareness
- Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws local regulations and international safety standards
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs making adjustments as necessary
- Maintain accurate safety records and prepare regular reports for management
- Serve as a liaison between the company and regulatory agencies
- Stay uptodate with the latest safety regulations and best practices in the industry
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science or a related field
- Minimum 35 years of experience in safety management preferably in industrial or construction settings
- Indepth knowledge of UAE labor laws and safety standards
- Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to influence and educate employees at all levels of the organization
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g. OSHA NEBOSH) are highly desirable
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and hazard identification
- Proven track record in incident investigation and reporting
- Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations and industry best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed
