Consultant Internist

We are looking for a compassionate Internist to provide long-term, comprehensive care to our patients and manage both common and complex diseases. You should be able to effectively diagnose patients and suggest a successful course of treatment.

To be successful as an Internist you must be able to prescribe and administer medications, immunizations, and other nonsurgical treatments. You should also be able to develop long-lasting, rewarding relationships with your patients.

Internist Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and assessments for patients, including performing physical examinations, reviewing medical histories, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
2. Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, both acute and chronic, utilizing evidence-based medicine and clinical guidelines.
3. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, considering their medical history, preferences, and overall health goals.
4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and support staff, to provide comprehensive patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
5. Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in the field of internal medicine, attending conferences, seminars, and continuing medical education activities.
6. Provide patient education on disease prevention, management, and lifestyle modifications, empowering them to actively participate in their healthcare journey.
7. Document all patient encounters, assessments, and treatment plans accurately and timely in electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
8. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers, promoting clear and open lines of communication to foster a collaborative and patient-centric approach to care.
9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical practice guidelines to enhance patient safety, clinical outcomes, and overall healthcare delivery.
10. Maintain a professional and ethical approach in all aspects of work, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and integrity when interacting with patients and colleagues.

Internist Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
• Doctor of medicine (MD) degree or a doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO) degree.
• 3 to 7 years’ internship and clinical residency training, specializing in internal medicine.
• Successful completion of the Internal Medicine Certification Examination.
• Certification by The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in internal medicine.
• Valid and active medical license in the current country practice.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Outstanding research and analytical skills.
• Excellent communicator who can empathize with patients.
