- Overall Responsible for Employee’s health and safety on site and off site.
- Monitor the overall performance and KPIs of QHSE department and report to the management on monthly meetings with top management.
- Conduct periodical HSE audits, meetings and surprise audits and monitor the corrective and preventive actions are effective.
- Conduct Safety meeting with head of Operations and Human Resources department.
- Responsible for the implementation & follow up of best practices in the industry and for the successful compliance of regulatory, statutory and international standards.
- Develops QHSE plans by identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.
- Manage the QHSE team to achieve control, monitoring and implementation of QHSE standards in line with IMS, ADFCA,OSHAD and UAE laws policies and procedures.
- Monitor the Training Plan as per the Training Need Analysis (TNA) and ensure on Job training of staff as per the Food Safety,Health and Safety and Regulations of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) and OSHAD
- Coordinate with third party to arrange In-house and External Trainings as per the requirements of ADFCA, OSHAD and IMS.
- Liaisons with third party and certification bodies for scheduled audit for IMS and OSHAD standards.
- Review Risk Register and Legal requirements as per defined interval.
- Implement the Emergency Response Plan across all areas and ensure robust line of escalation exists.
- Provide a single business focus for accident and incident reporting and assist with subsequent investigation process; provide trend analysis to IMS Team to support and provide focus for driving positive behaviors and culture within the business.
- Provide leadership to support the management of supply chains and compliance with IMS/OSHAD standards through ‘Point of Work Assessments’; audit and review of operating practice and systems.
- Ensure appropriate resources are provided to support a compliant business and to identify any systemic weaknesses.
