Job Role
For our client a leading bank we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst. You will work as part of a team that are implementing a new payments platform that will support the Payment Business in the transition to the SWIFT CBPR+ Standard (ISO 20022).
Roles & Responsibilities
- Specification of the business requirements in and around the Payments Area
- Support the testing activities
- Active participation in the rollout and training activities.
- Participate with the transition to the SWIFT CBPR+ Standard (ISO 20022)
Experience & Education
- 5+ years working as a Business Analyst in the Banking/Finance area
- Strong Business Analysis methodology skills
- Sound understanding of business domain Payments
- In depth knowledge about ISO 20022, payments messages and their processing
- Good understanding and experience from working other SWIFT CBPR+ projects
- Knowledge about Banking application landscapes

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and objectives.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather detailed business requirements.
- Document and analyze business processes, workflows, and system requirements.
- Translate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications for IT teams.

Business Process Improvement:
- Evaluate and map existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend solutions to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
- Work with stakeholders to implement process improvements and ensure changes are successfully adopted.

Stakeholder Management and Communication:
- Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring that communication is clear and that both sides understand each other’s needs and constraints.
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, keeping them informed about project progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Facilitate meetings and discussions between stakeholders to resolve issues and clarify requirements.

Solution Design and Specification:
- Collaborate with IT teams to design solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
- Create detailed functional specifications, use cases, and user stories for development teams.
- Help prioritize requirements based on business needs and impact.

Feasibility and Risk Analysis:
- Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed solutions, including cost-benefit analysis and resource requirements.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize the impact on project timelines and quality.

Support Project Management:
- Work with project managers to define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and resources.
- Monitor the progress of projects, ensuring that they remain on track and meet deadlines.
- Assist in tracking project budgets and ensuring the delivery of solutions within agreed-upon resources.
