Job Description

As a Development Analyst you play a vital role in supporting the financial evaluation and analysis of hotel development projects. You will be responsible for conducting financial assessments benchmarking hotels and providing valuable insights to informed decisionmaking processes. Your tasks will include analyzing industry data assessing market trends and collaborating with crossfunctional teams to drive successful development initiatives.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis of hotel development projects including feasibility studies investment valuations and financial modeling.
  • Benchmark hotels against industry standards and competitors utilizing metrics such as ADR RevPAR and occupancy rates.
  • Research and analyze market trends supply and demand dynamics and economic indicators to assess market viability and growth potential.
  • Assist in the preparation of business plans and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development and other team members to evaluate potential development opportunities and investment strategies.
  • Analyze data from sources such as STR reports comp sets and market research studies to support decisionmaking processes.
  • Participate in due diligence processes for potential acquisitions conducting financial due diligence and risk assessments.
  • Support the negotiation and structuring of development agreements management contracts and other relevant agreements.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to optimize project profitability and mitigate risks.
  • Assist in preparing budget forecasts financial projections and variance analyses for development projects.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate financial models databases and documentation for development projects.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Finance Operations and Legal to ensure alignment and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Stay informed about industry developments regulatory changes and best practices in hotel development and finance.
