PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Planning Engineer will be critical in delivering EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) projects by developing and managing detailed project schedules monitoring progress and implementing strategies to ensure timely and withinbudget completion.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop comprehensive project plans using Primavera P6 or similar software.
- Define project scope milestones and deliverables.
- Establish project timelines and identify critical paths.
- Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against planned schedules.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to project managers and stakeholders.
- Identify potential delays and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure adequate resource allocation.
- Monitor and manage resource utilization to optimize project efficiency.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and report on risk status ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Assist in preparing project budgets and cost estimates.
- Monitor project costs and expenses ensuring adherence to the approved budget.
- Analyze cost variances and implement costsaving measures as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate project documentation including schedules progress reports and change orders.
- Ensure compliance with all projectspecific regulations standards and quality requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among project team members clients and contractors.
- Address stakeholder concerns and provide timely updates on project status and issues.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be available to join immediately.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Project Management or a related field.
- 58 years of experience in planning and scheduling within EPC projects.
- Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of project management principles and best practices.
