Job Description

JOB TITLE:

Insurance Executive

POSITION TYPE:

Directors

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Property and Related Insurance Specialist to join our Risk Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of property and related insurance policies including renewals claims and compliance. This role requires good organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.

DUTIES:

1. Policy Management:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of property and related insurance policies including new policy acquisition renewals and terminations.
  • Review analyze and recommend appropriate insurance coverage to ensure adequate protection of company assets.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all insurance policies including terms conditions and endorsements.

2. Renewal Process:

  • Coordinate with insurance brokers and underwriters to gather necessary information and documentation for policy renewals.
  • Prepare and submit renewal applications ensuring all required information is complete and accurate.
  • Conduct risk assessments of properties and provide recommendations to improve insurability and mitigate risks.

3. Claims Management:

  • Handle property and related insurance claims including documentation submission and followup with insurers.
  • Monitor and track claims analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement in risk management practices.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external parties to ensure efficient resolution of claims.

4. Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal departments regarding property and related insurance matters.
  • Communicate renewal timelines requirements and policy changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on insurance coverage costs and claims to senior management.

5. Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to property and related insurance.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on insurance coverage costs claims history and trends to senior management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends regulatory changes and emerging risks that could impact the organization.

6. Risk Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize risk exposure and enhance insurability of company properties.
  • Conduct regular reviews of risk management practices and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement risk mitigation plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Business/ Commerce Risk Management Insurance Mathematics Statistics or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPCU ARM) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in insurance.
  • Knowledgeable of insurance policies coverage risk management principles and related insurance products.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
