Grocery attendant

As a Grocery Attendant in the UAE you will be responsible for assisting customers stocking shelves organizing merchandise and maintaining cleanliness in a grocery store or supermarket. Your role involves providing excellent customer service ensuring product availability and contributing to the overall efficiency and operation of the grocery department.Key Responsibilities:Customer Service:Greet customers and assist them in finding products or items in the store.Provide information about products promotions and pricing to customers as needed.Handle customer inquiries complaints and requests in a courteous and professional manner.Stocking and Inventory Management:Receive unload and unpack merchandise deliveries from suppliers.Stock shelves racks and displays with products according to store layout and merchandising standards.Rotate products to ensure freshness and monitor expiry dates to minimize wastage.Merchandising and Display:Arrange and display products attractively to enhance visibility and promote sales.Ensure shelves are fully stocked and neatly organized throughout the day.Monitor inventory levels and inform supervisors of lowstock items or popular products for reordering.Cleanliness and Maintenance:Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of shelves aisles and storage areas.Sweep mop and sanitize floors and clean spills or debris promptly to ensure a safe shopping environment.Dispose of trash and cardboard boxes in designated receptacles as per store policies.Operational Support:Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately including processing payments and issuing receipts.Assist in packing groceries bagging items and providing carryout assistance to customers as required.Follow store policies and procedures regarding cash handling safety and security.Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience as a Grocery Attendant Store Assistant or in a similar role preferably in a retail environment.Knowledge of grocery products brands and categories.Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers.Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating totals.Physical stamina and the ability to stand walk lift and bend throughout the shift.Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain neat and orderly displays.Working Conditions:Grocery Attendants in the UAE typically work in supermarkets hypermarkets or grocery stores.The role may involve standing for extended periods lifting heavy items and working in varying temperatures (refrigerated sections).Shift work including evenings weekends and holidays may be required based on store hours and operational needs.Salary and Benefits:Salaries for Grocery Attendants in the UAE vary based on experience location and employer.
