Genetic Counsellor

• Provide genetic counselling to individuals couples and families regarding inherited conditions and genetic risks.
  
• Review patient medical histories and family pedigrees to assess potential genetic disorders.
  
• Explain complex genetic concepts in an understandable manner helping patients make informed decisions.
  
• Coordinate genetic testing interpret results and discuss findings with patients and healthcare teams.
  
• Offer support and guidance to patients coping with genetic diagnoses.
  
• Collaborate with physicians laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  
• Maintain detailed patient records in compliance with confidentiality and healthcare regulations.
  
• Participate in public health education awareness programs and genetic research initiatives.
  
• Stay current with developments in medical genetics and counselling techniques.
  

Requirements

• Master s degree in Genetic Counselling Medical Genetics or related field.
  
• Valid UAE healthcare professional license or eligibility to obtain one.
  
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in genetic counselling including pediatric case exposure.
  
• Strong knowledge of human genetics genomics and counselling principles.
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  
• Empathetic patient-focused approach to care.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
