Job Description

  • Support the development and implementation of GIH’s strategic growth plans globally, by delivering high-quality market analysis, opportunity assessments, execution planning and stakeholder engagement;
  • Deliver detailed analysis from broad data sets to help determine where to compete / targeted geographies and customer segments, identifying Cigna’s right to win and providing clear recommendations for the GIH business globally;
  • Lead the development of regional strategies, working closely with regional sales colleagues and global Subject Matter Experts;
  • Develop compelling presentation materials and pre-read artefacts, that will be used to engage with senior leaders across the organization;
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement to achieve the establishment and socialization of a shared vision and aspiration across GIH that will enable the execution of the strategic plan;
  • Conduct desktop research to identify changes in the environment, macro-trends, stakeholders’ needs and competitor strategies to help GIH evaluate, adjust, or redirect the business plan to address risk and capitalise on opportunity;
  • Engage with the different functional areas of the GIH business such as Sales, Operations etc., to ensure the GIH strategic priorities are understood and to inspire our people in understanding the role they play in enabling delivery of the GIH strategy, thereby helping to increase employee engagement;

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, minimum 2-1, all degrees considered;
  • Preferably c. 2-years related experience in a commercial environment;
  • Strategic thinker, able to understand the ‘big picture’ and translate it into tangible deliverables;
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to derive recommendations from an in depth understanding of data and business levers;
  • Self-driven, with strong prioritization and organization skills to manage deliverables in a dynamic commercial environment;
  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey complex ideas and plans;
