Our client is a multinational company in the food industry.

The Quality Director is responsible for policy, strategy, and testing methodology to meet regulatory authority compliance in regard to our products. They will assist in setting quality standards and ensure that production is maintained at high-level standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overseas the internal Laboratories
  • Develops and implement quality procedures, standards, and testing protocol
  • Manage GFSI, Organic, and Product certifications
  • Ensure Internal and external audit
  • Assess testing results and KPI ensuring compliance and continuous improvement
  • Ensure quality validation of processes and equipment
  • Manage and ensure the respect of department's budget
  • HACPP Coordinator and Team Leader
  • The Quality Assurance director will integrate quality assurance and quality control into all
  • functions and people
  • Evaluates and assist in developing processes, specifications, and critical control points in
  • manufacturing, for ongoing quality assurance of all finished goods
  • Manages the quality system. Manages updates to standards, procedures, and forms.
  • Executes employee training programs that support the Company s objectives with regard to
  • quality and food safety
  • Manages and enforces compliance with USDA / FDA regulations, GMP, HACCP, food safety
  • Applies administrative and record-keeping processes to support the programs listed above
  • Monitors pest control program and ensures corrective actions are implemented.
  • Communicates all issues to production or applicable department, and assigns a resolution.
  • Ensures the completion of trend analysis and annual charting of customer complaints.
  • Conducts facility risk assessments annually and manages the monthly internal audits, as
  • needed.
  • Analyze complaints and non-conformances for Continuous Quality Improvement.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


Advanced Technical Scientific degree (MS, Ph.D.).

Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in Quality Management in food companies preferred experience in the chilled category

Knowledge of FDA and USDA regulation and comfortable with regulatory interpretation

PCQI FDA certification

Foreign language Italian preferred / Required

Good team management skills

Able to work well independently, self-motivated, and as a team member

Good leadership skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to train the staff

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, suppliers customers, and USDA

Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects concurrently

Possesses excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

Detailed knowledge and track record of successful implementation of food manufacturing policies and procedures (GMP)
