Manages design work and construction activities throughout the project and completes it within allocated budget and schedule.
Manages technical and financial operations effectively.
Effectively manages claims and avoids arbitration and disputes. Leads project management personnel in evaluating variances and claims and communicating the technical position of the proposed variance to the client.
Manages project risks and implements a risk mitigation plan.
Communicate with client representatives on an ongoing basis regarding project progress and other areas of concern.
Proposes internal project management procedures to comply with contract requirements and client procedures.
Establish and maintain specific project procedures for managing design/construction oversight (as applicable).
Prepares special reports for client management to investigate any issue related to the scope of services and recommend solutions to client management.
Establishes priorities and tasks and develops the organization's structure to ensure tasks are carried out by providing clear direction on methods, time frames and timelines for achieving established objectives.
Provides clear definition of roles and responsibilities for project management staff.
Attends executive meetings and progress meetings.
Monitors performance to ensure that key performance factors and client contractual requirements are achieved.
The client representative advises of any potential change in the scope of work of the design consultant/supervision and contractor that may generate a financial or timing impact and provides a project management assessment.
Advises the client of any anticipated delay in progress and suggests corrective actions.
