Global Commodity Manager

Position Overview: As the Global Commodity Manager for Fasteners, Springs & Castings you will be responsible for strategically managing this commodity across all global locations of the BU Electrical Products. With a purchasing volume of approximately 60 million euros, you will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing global supplier strategies, negotiation concepts, and ensuring optimal procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute global supplier strategies for the Fasteners, Springs & Castings commodity.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.
• Coordinate and manage procurement teams across factories in Europe, North America, and China.
• Analyze market trends and technological advancements to inform procurement decisions.
• Drive innovation, technical improvements, and process optimizations while managing costs effectively.
  

Your profile:

• University degree in (business) engineering, business administration, or related field.
• Extensive experience in purchasing, with a strong background in project management and supply chain management.
• Solid understanding of commercial and legal aspects, as well as manufacturing technology.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with excellent moderation and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across international teams.
• Proficiency in negotiation skills in both German and English.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
