One of the hightech healthcare facilities is the regions biggest private referral hospital offering effective medical care in a professional and caring environment is looking for Gastroenterology Consultant.


As a Gastroenterology Consultant you will specialize in the diagnosis treatment and management of disorders affecting the gastrointestinal (GI) tract and related organs including the liver pancreas and gallbladder. You will provide expert GI care to patients utilizing a combination of clinical assessment diagnostic testing medical therapy and endoscopic procedures. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient outcomes promoting digestive health and advancing the field of Gastroenterology within our institution.

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with gastrointestinal complaints including abdominal pain diarrhea constipation gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) liver disease pancreatic disorders and gastrointestinal bleeding.
  • Perform detailed clinical assessments including medical history review physical examination and interpretation of diagnostic tests such as laboratory tests imaging studies and endoscopic procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients specific gastrointestinal condition incorporating medical therapy dietary modifications and procedural interventions as appropriate.
  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) colonoscopy endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and capsule endoscopy.
  • Utilize advanced endoscopic techniques such as endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and endoscopic closure of gastrointestinal perforations to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding gastrointestinal diseases treatment options lifestyle modifications and preventive measures to promote digestive health and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hepatologists surgeons oncologists radiologists and primary care physicians to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) liver cirrhosis and gastrointestinal cancers.
  • Participate in oncall coverage schedules to provide timely evaluation and management of acute gastrointestinal emergencies such as gastrointestinal bleeding acute liver failure and acute pancreatitis.
  • Engage in clinical research and scholarly activities to advance the understanding and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders contributing to the academic mission of the institution and dissemination of knowledge in the field of gastroenterology.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters treatment plans procedural details and outcomes in electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.



Requirements

Experience From US (Board) Canada (Royal College Fellowship) UK (CCT) Ireland (CSD CSCST) Australia &NZ (Fellowship) France (DES DESC) And Other European Countries According to The Qualification Equivalence Tables of the UAE MOH
Minimum 23 years experience in a hospital environment Western and Asian countries experience is preferred. Asians with Gulf experience are preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Fluency in written and spoken English
MOH registered Preferred
Ability to multitask prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
Willing to work flexible hours as and when required

Languages English Arabic Preferred
