KO Business Solutions is a family-owned staffing agency proud to work with a manufacturing company in Elk Grove Village, IL who is seeking a NDT Level I to join their team. The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level I is a hands-on position which performs a wide range of processing functions to support the day-to-day throughput of the magnetic particle department.

• Perform tasks under the direction of certified Level II professionals, while gaining experience and acquiring knowledge of manufacturing processes, customer specifications and inspection requirements.
  
• Unpack parts, document the as-received condition, and prepare orders for inspection using predetermined criteria.
  
• Process parts in accordance with part specific techniques, with final evaluation to be performed by Level II personnel.
  
• Upon the completion of processing, visually inspect, prepare, and package parts in accordance with customer requirements.
  
• Assist Level II personnel in performing process control checks
  
• Maintain proper housekeeping while adhering to applicable chemical, environmental, and safety procedures.
  
• Complete applicable paperwork for orders in-process, and track labor time using internal software.
  
• Provide cross functional support to other departments within the NDT group as needed.
  
• NDT Level I personnel are expected to participate in NDT training programs, document hours of experience, and take certification exams as required to advance their level of certification.
  
• Take part in company-wide training and continuous improvement opportunities toward quality assurance initiatives, company objectives, and peripheral projects.
  

• Must be a quality focused, detail-oriented, organized, self-starting individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to prioritize and efficiently complete tasks with consistent accuracy, while adhering to customer deadlines.
  
• The NDT inspection is a controlled process, therefore attention to detail and care in handling customer parts and test equipment is required.
  
• Must have the skills to navigate Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  
• Understand turnaround schedule and align orders to meet customer demands.
  
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel within the organization
  
• Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods of time and have the strength to handle parts ranging in size and weight.
  

• High school diploma or GED is required.
  
• Must have completed the minimum required hours of formal instruction in the respective NDT methods theory and processes in accordance with NAS-410 or equivalent.
  
• Must have the minimum required and documented on-the-job experience in the respective NDT method in accordance with NAS-410 or equivalent.
  
• Experience in a quality, manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
  
• Individual must be authorized to work for any U.S. based employer.
