Prepare and cook high quality dishes according to recipes and food safety standards.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of other kitchen team to ensure efficient and timely production.
Maintains work area clean and organized, including proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
Assist with menu planning and development, including creating new dishes and specials.
Ensure adherence to portion control and serving standards.
Train and mentor the small kitchen team, providing guidance and support.
Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house staff, to ensure smooth running of the kitchen.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, and order supplies as needed.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and techniques, and constantly improve your cooking skills.
Required profile of candidates
Minimum three years of experience working as a Chef de Partie in a high-capacity restaurant.
Culinary degree or equivalent qualification from a reputable culinary school.
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene rules.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Attention to detail and a passion for preparing delicious and visually appealing dishes.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
Experience working with a variety of ingredients and cuisines.
