Role: Bar Supervisor

Location: Lisbon Area

Job Description:

An exceptional opportunity waits for customer serviceskilled and experienced Bar supervisors to join our service team in our premium venue. As a Bar supervisor you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager and contribute to the successful opening and operation of our gastro pub. Join us in Cascais and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional service and creating memorable dining experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise bar operations ensuring efficient service and cleanliness.
  • Train and mentor bar staff in mixology and customer service.
  • Create and update drink menus based on trends.
  • Assist in training new employees and provide continuous training to existing staff.
  • Maintain inventory of all needed supplies and coordinate restocking.
  • Oversee both front and backofhouse operations ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and lead staff to do the same.
  • Respond quickly to customer complaints and efficiently resolve issues.
  • Identify methods to cut waste decrease costs and improve profitability.
  • Manage and support waiters for the smooth running of service shifts.
  • Ensure that service staff follow standards procedures rules and health and safety requirements.
  • Manage reservations and handle customer inquiries.
  • Welcome and seat guests ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Prepare daily reports after each shift.
  • Assist with waiting tables or covering the bar when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of hospitality & bartending experience. Previous supervisor experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mixology and current beverage trends.
  • Strong leadership motivation and people skills.
  • Ability to handle highpressure situations in a busy bar environment.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Exceptional organizational communication and customer service skills.
  • Be a native or fluent English speaker with a C1 level proficiency. Display effective communication skills in English. The ability to convey information clearly follow instructions and interact professionally with colleagues and the public is essential.
