Head of Strategy
Reporting to: MD/CEO
Job Summary:
Our Client, a distributor of electronics and home appliances, is in search of an experienced professional who will be responsible for developing and executing the company s overall business strategy, work closely with the CEO and other members of the executive team to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. The Head of Strategy will be responsible for conducting market research, developing go-to-market strategies, and overseeing the implementation of new business initiatives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing successful business strategies. A creative thinker with the ability to think outside the box and come up with new and innovative solutions to problems.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and execute short- and long-term business plans to achieve desired growth targets in line with company strategy
Conduct market analysis, feasibility studies, and ROI calculations to inform decision making around new business opportunities
Create sales strategies and go-to-market plans for new products and services, as well as existing ones in need of revitalization
Oversee the development of marketing campaigns and materials, ensuring they are on brand and align with business objectives
Manage a team of direct reports, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to help them reach their full potential
Liaise with other departments within the company to ensure everyone is working towards common goals
Keep abreast of industry trends and developments to identify areas of opportunity or threat for the business
Benchmark competitors offerings, strategies, and performance to inform own decision-making
Develop financial models to support business planning and decision-making
Prepare presentations for senior management, shareholders, and other key stakeholders
Manage external relationships with consultants, analysts, and other third parties
Perform ad hoc analysis as required to support strategic decision-making
Education and Work Experience
MBA or equivalent advanced degree
10+ years in strategy consulting, investment banking, or a similar role
Proven experience leading and managing teams
Experience with start-ups or high-growth companies
