Business Unit Overview
BlackRock Aladdin business is uniquely positioned to address the industrys investment management and financial technology demands. The various business departments within Aladdin entity are focused on providing clients with highly scalable end to end investment management solutions for both Public and Private markets. The Aladdin Client Business (ACB) entity is effectively responsible to growth the Aladdin business with our existing external clients implement our solutions and manage the relationship & services across the lifetime of our clients.
The role sits within our Aladdin Client Engagement team that is responsible to expand our footprint withing our existing client base as well as minimize churn and provide best in class user experience on our technologies: user adoption value delivery and client satisfactions are key objectives for our teams.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Client Engagement team and will assume a Value Delivery position servicing our clients in Middle East & Africa across and is based in Abu Dhabi UAE. The candidate must have a solid finger pulse of the clients entire organization and be imbedded into the clients key Decision Makers and Business leaders to drive adoption and growth. BlackRock as a firm expects significant growth in the Middle East region and the successful candidate will be an integral part of the local team who will be going to make this possible.
In this role you will:
Mobilize Aladdins suite of risk attribution and portfolio management capabilities to deliver best-in-class solutions for our clients
Serve as a trusted advisor to our clients driving to identify understand and solve complex problems
Own relationships with client teams and execute projects across clients
Build strong internal relationships within BlackRock Solutions and the wider BlackRock in support of your clients
Develop a deep understanding of your clients business objectives and help leverage Aladdin expertise to achieve their organizations goals
Work closely with Aladdin product managers developers and financial modelers to further the value proposition of the Aladdin platform
Articulate the value proposition of Aladdins products externally while also distilling the key gaps or blockers that prevent adoptions / sales to senior APG stakeholders.
Fully understand client themes & sentiment in region. Partner with SRM in developing GTM strategies and overall client plans.
Maintain relationship with department heads and / or appropriate c-suite.
Engage with senior stakeholders and capability to talk broadly about industry trends and key priorities
You have:
A working understanding of equity fixed income alternatives and derivative markets and analytics with experience in advising Clients on portfolio strategies portfolio optimization risk assessments and performance attribution
Familiarity with buy-side investment management workflows proficient in market trends
A consultative approach to understanding client needs and a passion for solving problems
Strong interest in technology and an aptitude for learning new systems
Emotional ownership pride in what you do and a strong team ethos
Experience in executing projects
1-4 years of experience in Financial Services Technology Consulting or Buy Side firm.
Proactive mindset and takes ownership for driving positive outcomes and executing on leadership objectives quickly
To lead in strong consultancy-based communication skills and ability to articulate effective opportunities and risks cross team / projects
You may have:
CFA FRM or other professional qualifications
A working knowledge of SQL UNIX VBA R Python or similar tools and/or Aladdin
Direct portfolio management risk or trading experience
