Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Document Controller to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. In this critical role you will be responsible for managing controlling and maintaining all project documentation ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Implement and maintain document control systems and procedures
  • Receive log and distribute incoming and outgoing documents
  • Ensure proper document classification numbering and versioning
  • Perform quality checks on documents to verify adherence to established standards
  • Manage document revisions and ensure the availability of the latest versions
  • Archive obsolete documents according to retention policies
  • Generate regular reports on document status and submission progress
  • Coordinate with project teams to facilitate efficient document flow
  • Provide training and support on document management best practices
  • Assist in audits and ensure documentation complies with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve document-related issues
  • Continuously improve document control processes for enhanced efficiency

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in document control preferably in engineering construction or related industries
  • Proficiency in document management systems (e.g. ProjectWise SharePoint)
  • Strong knowledge of document lifecycle management and control processes
  • Experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS)
  • Familiarity with industry standards related to document control and information management
  • Bachelors degree in Information Management Business Administration or related field (preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with high levels of precision
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage large volumes of documents effectively
  • Capability to work under strict deadlines and maintain structured workflows
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process improvements
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information appropriately
  • Understanding of document control processes in a regulated environment
  • Adaptability to learn and implement new technologies and systems
