Requirements
Kitchen management
Oversee the kitchen staff including training new staff and managing schedules Menu development
Help create and maintain menus and recipes and select ingredients Food preparation
Prepare present and service menu items and ensure quality taste and presentation Inventory
Track and order inventory and ensure the kitchen has the necessary tools and supplies Safety
Ensure staff and the kitchen adhere to safety regulations and sanitation practices Communication
Communicate relevant information to kitchen staff and liaise with other departments Leadership
Provide supportive leadership to the kitchen staff and represent the head chef in their absence Business growth
Work with the head chef and general manager to set a plan for growing the business and driving sales
