Job Description
Job Title: Chief Accountant
Location: UAE
Experience: 5 Years
Salary: Depends upon experience
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the financial operations including accounting budgeting and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring compliance with IFRS and UAE financial regulations.
- Supervise and guide the accounting team in daytoday operations including accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll processing.
- Monitor cash flow banking activities and financial forecasting to optimize financial performance.
- Ensure timely filing of VAT corporate tax and other statutory financial obligations.
- Conduct financial audits reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
- Develop and implement internal financial controls to enhance efficiency and minimize risks.
- Coordinate with external auditors tax authorities and regulatory bodies for compliance matters.
- Support management with financial planning cost control and investment strategies.
- Stay updated with local and international financial regulations and ensure adherence to best accounting practices.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (Master s Degree preferred).
- 5 years of experience in accounting preferably in the UAE.
- Professional certifications such as CPA CA ACCA or CMA are highly preferred.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP Oracle QuickBooks or Tally.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Ability to handle multiple financial tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to interact with management auditors and external stakeholders.
