We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead and execute advanced process design and optimization for our projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of process engineering principles and have extensive experience in industrial systems with a focus on improving operational efficiency safety and sustainability. As a senior team member you will guide junior engineers provide strategic technical leadership and work closely with crossfunctional teams to deliver highquality process solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the design analysis and optimization of complex process systems ensuring they meet both operational and regulatory standards.
- Prepare detailed process flow diagrams (PFDs) piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and equipment specifications for new and existing systems.
- Conduct mass and energy balance calculations process simulations and evaluate alternative solutions for improving process efficiency.
- Oversee the preparation of process documentation including technical reports design reviews and performance assessments.
- Lead process engineering efforts in both ongoing and new projects from conceptual design through commissioning ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients contractors and other stakeholders regarding processrelated matters.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support the development of less experienced team members.
- Mentor and train process engineers on technical methodologies best practices and company standards.
- Identify process inefficiencies system bottlenecks and safety risks and lead efforts to develop and implement solutions to improve performance reduce costs and enhance safety.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for processrelated issues across the lifecycle of projects from design through to operation and maintenance.
- Propose evaluate and implement process improvements based on ongoing analysis and operational feedback.
- Ensure all designs and operational procedures comply with industry standards regulatory requirements and internal safety protocols.
- Actively contribute to process hazard analysis (PHA) risk assessments and safety reviews.
- Monitor and assess process performance to maintain safe operating conditions and optimize plant performance.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical electrical instrumentation and project management teams to ensure process integration and project success.
- Present and communicate complex technical findings and design strategies to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Lead or participate in technical meetings design reviews and client interactions.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives by staying current with the latest process technologies and industry trends.
- Recommend and implement new technologies process solutions and engineering tools to enhance performance and efficiency.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering Process Engineering or a related field.
- Masters degree or higher in a relevant discipline is a plus.
- Minimum of 810 years of experience in process engineering with at least 35 years in a senior or leadership role.
- Proven experience in process design optimization and troubleshooting in industries such as oil and gas chemicals petrochemicals or energy.
- Significant experience with process simulation software (e.g. Aspen Plus HYSYS or equivalent) and process design tools (e.g. AutoCAD P&ID software).
- Extensive knowledge of industry standards engineering codes (e.g. ASME API ISO) and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams managing project deliverables and interfacing with clients.
- Expertise in process engineering principles system design and project execution.
- Strong problemsolving analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Indepth understanding of process safety equipment sizing and operational troubleshooting.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Certification in process safety or project management is an advantage.
