Job Description
Responsibilities
- Manage the daytoday accounting activities including bookkeeping accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate financial reports budgets and forecasts in line with the schools requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and school policies.
- Handle payroll processing and ensure timely salary disbursement.
- Oversee tuition fee collections and related transactions.
- Liaise with school management and external auditors during audits.
- Support financial planning for school events and activities.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience:
- Proven experience in accounting (preferably in a school or educational setting).
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of accounting practices and standards.
- Familiarity with managing tuition fees and school business operations.
- Languages:
- Fluency in both English and French is mandatory.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Educational Background:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Professional accounting certifications (e.g. CPA CMA) are a plus.
