Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Junior Accountant to join the financial department of our client a prestigious Federation. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to develop their accounting career and contribute to the smooth operation of the Federations finances.
As a Junior Accountant you will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks assisting in the preparation of financial statements and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles possess excellent attention to detail and be comfortable working with numbers. You will work as part of a professional team to help the organization maintain transparency and financial efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post and process journal entries to record all business transactions accurately.
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
- Manage accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing balance sheets income statements and other financial statements in line with legal and Federation accounting guidelines.
- Review expenses payroll records and other financial tasks as assigned.
- Update financial data in databases for accurate and timely access.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly financial reports.
- Support senior accountants in monthly/yearly closings.
- Assist with other accounting projects as required.
Key Requirements & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Junior Accountant.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with numerical data.
- A good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Office with knowledge of relevant accounting software (e.g. SAP).
- A qualification in accounting (ACA ACCA CIMA) is an advantage but not mandatory.
- A BSC/BA in Accounting Finance or a related field is required.
- Fluency in Arabic is a must
