Job Description
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the logistics and supply chain functions ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Monitor and optimize operational performance identifying areas for improvement to drive efficiency reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.
- Lead and manage a team of logistics and supply chain professionals ensuring high levels of performance collaboration and accountability.
- Develop and implement operational policies procedures and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with suppliers vendors and clients to ensure timely and accurate deliveries of products and services.
- Implement and oversee inventory management systems ensuring stock levels are optimized and tracking is accurate.
- Collaborate with the sales and procurement teams to ensure alignment between customer demand and supply chain capacity.
- Use data analysis and performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of operations and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Manage logistics budgets ensuring cost control measures are in place and costeffective strategies are being implemented.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations as well as environmental standards in logistics operations.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions minimizing impact on operations.
- Regularly report to senior management on operational performance achievements and areas requiring attention.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management with a strong preference for experience in logistics or supply chain industries.
- Proven experience in inventory management logistics operations and process optimization.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with experience leading crossfunctional teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors clients and stakeholders.
- Strong problemsolving abilities and the ability to make quick informed decisions under pressure.
- Proficient in logistics management software and data analysis tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to improve operational efficiency.
