Roles and responsibilities
- To ensure that SOP Basic standards are adhered to in order to achieve the level of service established in the Departmental Operations Manual.
- To take a hands-on approach in the operation of the outlet.
- To ensure that the par stocks and FIFO system for all operating equipment and supplies are strictly adhered to and that the outlet is adequately equipped.
- To assist in controlling the requisitioning, storage, and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.
- To attend daily briefings with the hosts on preparation, service and menu.
- To liaise with the supporting departments on daily operation and quality.
- To establish a rapport with guests maintaining good relationships.
- To report “lost and found” items.
- To ensure that the outlet is kept clean and organized, both at the front as well as the back of the house.
- To liaise and organize with Housekeeping Department that the established cleaning schedules are strictly adhered to.
- To issue repair and maintenance job orders to ensure proper maintenance of the outlet.
- To ensure that all associates provide courteous and professional service at all times.
- To assist in the team building of an efficient team of associates by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and Mascots pin at all times.
- To provide courteous and professional service at all times.
- To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Hotel’s Policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
- To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
- To have a complete understanding of the hotel’s associate handbook and adhere to the regulation contained within.
- To attend all training sessions/ programs that are requested by the Hotel’s Management.
- Serve food and beverage to guests according to prescribed service standards and procedures with emphasis on speed accuracy.
- To ensure cleans and maintain equipment, tools, fixtures, service area in the station assigned.
- To ensure cleans and re-stocks service station.
- To be knowledgeable of all the equipment in the outlet, the proper handling and usage.
- Performs any other duties assigned by the immediate superior, which leads to guest satisfaction and profit for the hotel.
- Assist the Captain in the monthly and daily operating equipment inventory.
- Reports any unusual incidents, guest complaints, lost and found, breakage and losses to the superior.
- Attends pre-meal briefing and de-briefing daily and monthly F&B host Meeting.
- Attends all meetings and training sessions organized by the Hotel Management for the host.

- High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience may be preferred, especially if serving beverages in a fine dining establishment.
- Ability to walk, stand, and carry heavy trays.
- A friendly, attentive attitude and excellent English Knowledge of beverages and food.

- Willingness to work at peak hours, which may include evenings, holidays, and weekends.
