Roles and responsibilities
Material Planning Supervisor will support the initial provisioning and re-provisioning of Aircraft Spares, Tools, Consumables and Service Bulletin (SB)/Mod Materials in order to achieve agreed service levels and optimum stock levels. This is a non-leadership role.
In This Role, You Will
- Support initial provisioning and re-previsioning of assigned group of items include BFE (buyer Furnished Equipment), Retrofit, Mod, Special Engineering Work Card (SEWC) items and breakdown spares of inhouse repairable items by analysing manufacturer recommendations, leveraging in-house expertise to effectively support fleet growth/phase out plan.
- Maintain compliance with Material Planning procedures, methods and parameters applicable for different types/categories of aircraft parts to maintain cost effective stock levels.
- Assist in meeting objectives of supply chain metrics including measurement and control of Aircraft On Ground (AOG), Robberies, Shortages, SLAs, Surplus, Deferred Defects, Cycle Time, Backlogs and other KPIs. Escalate critical shortages, service failures and identify corrective actions to maintain performance, productivity and delivery at the agreed level.
- Assist in clearing material shortages, provisioning triggers and stores discrepancies to avoid backlogs and quarantine stock build up. Identify and implement corrective actions as required.
- Support periodic audits of inventory parameters including Re-order point, Order Quantity, Lead Time, Average Monthly Usage (ASM) etc., recommending areas to improve metrics.
- Assist in reviews of slow, non-moving and higher month of coverage (MOC) repairable and expendable items of assigned vendors/commodities in order to establish contractual buyback items and seek approval for surplus stock declarations.
- Assist in data collection from technical documentation relating to part basic, part relation and vendors within Ultramain to assist the alternate parts advice procedure & class change requests by drafting forms and collating supporting documentation needed for approval.
- Support cost optimisation opportunities by engaging in projects as required.
Desired candidate profile
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- 12 years of schooling or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in Engineering or Materials & Stores. 10 years of schooling may be considered with 2 additional years of relevant experience.
- Having experience in planning.
- Having experience in Supply Chain is preferable (Warehouse & Logistics, Repair Management, Material Planning, Support & Inventory Control, Technical Purchasing).
- Having aircraft maintenance spares planning experience is preferable.
- Having airlines or MRO work experience will also be considered.
