- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to energy projects, procurement, and partnerships, ensuring all agreements align with legal requirements and company policies.
- Monitor and interpret changes in UAE legal regulations and laws, advising on compliance issues and implementing necessary changes in company practices.
- Provide legal advice to various departments on matters including corporate governance, labor law, environmental regulations, and intellectual property.
- Maintain accurate and organized legal documentation, prepare reports for senior management, and assist with regulatory filings and corporate governance matters.
- Identify potential legal risks and recommend strategies to mitigate them, including conducting legal risk assessments and providing training to employees on legal matters.
Requirements
To be considered in this role you need to qualify:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent. A Master’s degree or additional qualifications in energy law or related fields is preferred.
- Minimum of 5to 7 years of experience as a legal specialist or in a similar legal role, preferably within the energy sector or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of UAE legal and regulatory frameworks, particularly in the energy/power/utilities sector.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- Willingness to travel and to work on-site based in Ajman. Should be adaptable with the working environement
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
