Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing patients physical mental and emotional needs and developing individualized treatment plans to help them achieve optimal functionality and independence in their daily lives. This role requires working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients abilities needs and goals through detailed assessments including medical history reviews physical exams and interviews.
- Treatment Planning: Develop personalized treatment plans focused on improving patients motor skills cognitive functions and activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Therapeutic Interventions: Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques including exercise programs manual therapy and the use of adaptive equipment to aid in patients recovery.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about the therapeutic process including exercises and techniques they can perform at home.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and provide the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and uptodate records of patients progress treatment plans and any changes in their condition.
- Continued Professional Development: Stay current with the latest research techniques and best practices in occupational therapy through continuous education and professional development.
- Compliance: Adhere to all hospital policies and regulatory requirements including those related to patient confidentiality and safety.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Must hold a valid Occupational Therapy license recognized by Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
- Experience: Minimum of 45 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Proficiency in using rehabilitation tools and software.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Languages: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
Working Conditions:
- Hours: Fulltime position 40 hours per week with occasional weekend shifts as needed.
- Environment: This role will primarily be based in the hospitals rehabilitation department with occasional patient visits to other wards or outpatient settings.
- Physical Requirements: The role involves physical activities such as lifting bending and assisting patients with movement.
