DATA ARCHITECT

Position Overview:

The Data Architect is responsible for designing building and maintaining the organizations data architecture ensuring that data systems are scalable secure and aligned with business objectives. This role requires fluency in Arabic and English as the Data Architect will be working with stakeholders across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data modelling database design and data governance with a strong understanding of regional data regulations and requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and design the organizations data architecture including data models database structures and data integration frameworks that meet the needs of the business.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality integrity and security across all data systems.
• Design and oversee data integration processes including ETL (Extract Transform Load) workflows data migration and realtime data streaming ensuring seamless data flow between systems.
• Work closely with business analysts data scientists and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure that the data architecture supports analytical and operational needs.
• Manage and optimize databases including SQL and NoSQL databases ensuring high performance availability and security.
• Ensure that all data architecture and management practices comply with relevant data protection laws and regulations in the MENA region including data localization requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for data architecture including data models database schemas and integration processes.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineers developers and other IT staff ensuring best practices in data management and architecture.
• Leverage knowledge of regional data practices regulations and business environments to design data solutions that are culturally and legally appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Data Science or a related field.
• Masters degree or relevant certifications are preferred.

Experience:

• 10 years of experience in data architecture database management and data governance.
• Experience working in or with organizations in the MENA region.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing largescale data solutions.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in data modelling database design and data integration tools.
• Strong knowledge of SQL NoSQL databases and cloudbased data solutions (AWS Azure Google Cloud).
• Experience with data governance frameworks and tools including data cataloging and data quality management.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop Spark and data lakes.
• Familiar with technology such Forcepoint or Symantec Informatica Teradata and etc

Language Skills:

Fluency in Arabic and English is required with strong communication skills in both languages.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative multicultural environment.
• Leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and guiding junior staff.

• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
• TOGAF Certified
• AWS Certified Big Data Specialty
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
