We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Welfare Solicitor to join the firms growing team. The right candidate will have good knowledge of the legal aid scheme and experience of private client work, While the majority of the current work is funded through legal aid, the firm is expanding the private client work.
You will be working with colleagues specialising in housing and public law. The firm have been recognised by Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500 as providing good quality advice and representation. Currently they are unable to meet demand for the community care and Court of Protection services and the right candidate will be given the opportunity to grow and develop this area of work.
Requirements
- 2+ years PQE
- Ability to communicate effectively with the firm s client group
- Excellent oral and telephone skills
- Ability to prioritise and work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent written communications skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Experience of working to targets
- Excellent IT Skills
- Experience of Legal Aid funding and using CCMS
- Experience of private client work
