Roles and responsibilities
- Take lead role as engineering coordinator, responsible to liaise with customers / suppliers for all technical topics, engineering document review, submissions, and monitoring engineering progress.
- Review the customer technical specifications and provide technical inputs and requirements in the tendering and project management process with scope of work matrix and estimate in the form of BOQ.
- Effectively collaborate with all related stake holders involved in the projects thereby ensuring timely submission and approval of engineering documentation for UAE, Oman and Bahrain.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate with relevant engineering disciplines (consultants, factory, field service team).
What You Bring
- Educational background in electrical engineering or related. A master’s degree would be an added advantage.
- 8+ years of experience in electrical design, specifically in substation projects related to high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV) systems.
- Good understanding on Power Transmission industry standards & applicable regulations (e.g., IEEE, IEC, ANSI).
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ELCAD, or similar tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to design efficient and reliable electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Primary and Secondary drawings for substations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, team members and other stakeholders.
- Understanding of safety protocols and practices in electrical engineering and substation environments. Awareness of current Health and Safety and Environmental Regulations as well as risk management processes.

- Upgrades and Enhancements: Identifying opportunities for system upgrades, optimizations, or new technology implementations to improve performance and efficiency.

- Project Coordination: Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to execute technical aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with overall goals and timelines.
- Quality Control: Ensuring that systems, software, or products meet quality standards and technical specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
- Documentation: Maintaining detailed technical documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting processes, and solutions implemented for future reference or audits.
