Junior Configuration Officer

Job Summary:

The Junior Configuration Officer supports the project teams on their configuration requirements, prepares configuration documents, maintains a high level of data quality, integrity and security of the Data Management Systems (DMS) and controls, organizes and distributes all company documents.

Key Accountabilities:

• Understand the requirements of the project and accordingly provide support to project teams in configuring and base-lining project items.
• Apply control mechanisms to ensure correct Product Data information are provided.
• Prepare Data Packs for internal and external usage, and ensure a high level of data integrity and quality.
• Maintain and manage high quality, integrity, and security of data in the Configuration Management (CM) database.
• Control and distribute all Company information in accordance with Halcon Policies and Procedures.
• Conduct audits to validate the completeness of the data pack.
• Maintain control of the Product Data Index (PDI’s) and Document Data Index (DDI’s) and validate its accuracy.
• Produce reports on configuration status as required.
• Liaise with senior CM officers to maintain, govern, and administer the CM Procedures and Policies.
  

Experience & Education Qualifications:

• Minimum: 5 years of experience in configuration management / document control in the capacity of Junior Officer or Configuration AssistantMinimum: High school diploma
• Technical background - National Technical N-Diploma (N4-N6)
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in an Aerospace or Defence environmentPreferred: Bachelors’ of Science in Industrial Engineering
• Data integrity and data analysis
• Knowledge of Product Lifecycle management
• Document controlling
• Knowledge of CM II Baseline and Closed-Loop change process
