About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager for Dark Store Operations to lead and expand our operations within the UAE region. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations this role involves meticulous planning for scaling our dynamic business implementing operational efficiency measures overseeing the launch and management of microfulfillment centers/dark stores and leading a large workforce

What youll do

1. Manage operations for a large network of Dark Stores:

• Oversee operational performance for all dark stores in the UAE. Analyze store metrics to enhance user experience efficiently. Balance your time between data analysis and onground operations dedicating the majority of your efforts to solving problems and improving processes onsite

• Monitor service quality instore operations and challenges to identify operational gaps inefficiencies and risks. Collaborate with various teams to develop and implement solutions. Analyze data to generate insights and break down complex operational and logistical issues into actionable plans. Scale these efforts across a large network by defining and promoting best practices

2. Lead a large team and workforce:

• Exhibit strong leadership in operations or logistics with a track record of team management strategic direction setting and performance improvement
• Mentor and support team members fostering their professional growth and development. Cultivate a culture of accountability and high performance leading by example and encouraging a collaborative and innovative work environment

3. Planning and execution for scale:

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing operational efficiency and achieving organizational goals
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancement within dark store operations
• Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to inform strategic decisionmaking and ensure alignment with budgetary targets and performance objectives

What youll need

• 57 years of experience in operations preferably in the Grocery Industry or FMCG sector
• Grittiness. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and address something handson you persevere when others fall away
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively achieving organizational objectives and fostering a culture of accountability professional growth and high performance
• Proficient in utilizing large datasets to extract relevant information and resolve issues. Ability to pragmatically prioritize actions based on analysis to deliver maximum impact
• Strong communication skills capable of conveying ideas clearly and succinctly to diverse audiences and adept at maintaining audience interest and engagement
