Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daytoday operations of the interior fitout company ensuring that projects are completed efficiently on time and within budget. This role involves managing teams streamlining processes and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and quality. The Operations Manager will work closely with project managers clients and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the company including project execution resource allocation and workflow management.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with industry standards building codes and safety regulations.
Project Management Support:
- Assist project managers in planning executing and closing projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Resolve any operational issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Resource Management:
- Allocate resources including labor materials and equipment to ensure optimal utilization.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure necessary materials and services.
- Manage inventory and procurement processes to minimize costs and reduce waste.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead mentor and develop a highperforming operations team.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to drive decisionmaking.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering highquality projects and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Act as a point of contact for clients and stakeholders providing regular updates on project status and operational performance.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage operational budgets ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
- Monitor financial performance including revenue expenses and profitability.
- Prepare and present regular financial and operational reports to senior management.
Health and Safety:
- Promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Construction Management Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in operations management within the construction or interior fitout industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing operations and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership organizational and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in operations management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of industry standards building codes and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
