Prepares necessary documents/reports, analyses, and correspondence related to contractual issues as appropriate.
Regular site visits, to follow up on project status and records.
Assist the project team in reviewing and commenting on contractor correspondence and consulting, in particular, on any contractual/commercial aspects raised therein.
Lead negotiation and claims meetings and summarize findings after obtaining appropriate assurances.
Follow up on the contractor’s submission of all required bank guarantees, guarantees, insurances and other specified documents and verify their acceptance in accordance with the relevant agreement.
Review relevant project documents/correspondence to identify any contractual or commercial implications that may adversely affect the interest of clients.
Initiate the preparation of appropriate contractual responses for the contractor to be issued by the project team to terminate and/or mitigate such issues.
Monitor and handle commercial and contractual aspects relating to changes/change orders and claims. Assist in presenting results to the client as appropriate.
Study, evaluate and advise on claims submitted by the contractor in light of contractual obligations and in coordination with technical input from the project team.
Prepare appropriate strategy for termination or initiation of cost/schedule impact of such claims for approval by the company.
Implement the approved claim strategy and assist in negotiating an improved and fair settlement while maintaining the clients' best interests.
Completing the final settlement and terminating the contract.
Preparing certificates of delivery/completion of important works.
