Inventory Control Assistant

• Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the items received.
• Assist in stocking shelves, bins, and storage areas with incoming inventory.
• Perform regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed to maintain optimal levels.
• Assist in identifying slow-moving or obsolete inventory and implementing strategies to reduce excess inventory.
• Update inventory records and databases with accurate information on stock levels, locations, and movements.
• Assist in preparing and processing inventory-related documents, such as purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to coordinate inventory activities and resolve issues.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling and storing inventory items.
• Assist with other warehouse and inventory-related tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in inventory control or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing inventory-related tasks.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications, particularly inventory management software.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
