Cook Assistant

• Assist chefs and cooks in preparing and cooking food items according to recipes and menu specifications.
• Measure and portion ingredients accurately for recipes and menu items.
• Clean, peel, and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients as needed.
• Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients, utensils, and equipment.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, grills, and fryers under the supervision of kitchen staff.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Assist in receiving and storing food supplies and ingredients in designated storage areas.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Dispose of waste and recyclable materials properly and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
• Perform other kitchen-related tasks and duties as assigned by kitchen management.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
