Procurement Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Understand Project Material Requisitions for Heat Exchangers Shell and Tube Air Cooled Units.
• Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
• Research potential vendors and develop supply chain
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery
• Update internal databases with order details (dates vendors quantities discounts)
• Conduct market research to identify pricing trends / risks
• Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
• Prepare cost analyses
• Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
• Follow up with suppliers as needed to confirm or change orders
• Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
• Shall able to understand and implement client specification.
• Able to Handle subcontractors and shall approve the procedures.
• Incoming materials GRN.
• Preparation of material traceability records and prepare test certificates.
• Shall have worked with U stamp companies.
• Review of drawings and Material specifications.
• Preparation of in process and final documentation
• Good understanding of ISO procedures and requirements

Work Experience:

• Experience 5 & above
• Qualification Diploma or BE Mechanical
• Excellent experience in Project material procurement for Heat Exchangers / Pressure Vessels and Fabrication Projects
• Must have experience with sourcing from China India Korea Europe
• Must speak read write English fluently

Preferred Technical Skills

• Knowledge of ASME ASTM ISO specifications for Steel products pipes tubes plates forgings flanges
• Read technical drawings TDCs
• Good understanding of supply chain procedures
• Handson experience with purchasing software
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Knowledge of market research
• Solid organizational skills
• Good understanding of Quality testing requirements.
