Job Description
Seeking a Project Manager for a leading energy construction company based in Hauppauge, NY.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years project management experience in utility or construction utility. Experience working with Electrical Distribution and Transmission, Substations required. You are highly organized and have the ability to manage multiple project assignments.
What you will do:
This position is responsible for overseeing utility services projects for Electrical Distribution and Transmission, Substations. This role will report to the VP/Profit Center Manager.
Oversee project labor force.
Responsible for budgets, schedules and customer communications.
Develop project execution plan in accordance with the contract documents.
Act as the customers main contact.
Develop and maintain the project master budget and project schedule.
Keep management informed of any problem area, especially those that may have financial impact.
Track all change orders and ensure prompt closeout of all projects assigned.
Requirements
BS in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical), Construction Management or related field.
Must have strong analytical, verbal, written and communication skills.
Must be highly motivated and self-directed.
Ability to work in and with a team to deliver quality, consistently.
Strong computer skills including MS Office (particularly Excel) required.
Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera, and AUTOCAD a plus.
