Handling of engineering site queries, technical deviations, change requests, monitoring of contractor work instructions and monitoring that the engineering deliverables are maintained.
Maintaining clear communication between Employer site organisation and Employers back-office engineering support team for all technical progress and issues.
Technical support to Employers Site Rep [2] as required including monitoring execution programme milestones related to design deliverables and DDW work instructions and development of shop drawings related to execution.
Build and maintain relations with the contractor and maintain a collaborative approach where practicable.
Perform regular reporting to project management on status and corrective actions if necessary and when required.
Perform own verifications and participate in the contractor’s audits and verifications.
Ensure that mandatory regulations, procedures, documentation and agreed actions are followed and documented. Further, that this is reported to the project management.
Qualification Requirements
Practical, structured, and analytic.
Good familiarization with NORSOK / DNV and applicable standards for an offshore HVDC substation located in UK waters.
Fluent in English and has good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively both within a team environment and with limited supervision, ability to take lead.
Ability to handle complex specifications, including Employers Requirements.
Self-driven with demonstrated high degree of autonomy and pro-active mindset.
Ability to prioritize, work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines in a fast track complex major project.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite e.g. Word, Excel & Power Point.
Good knowledge of NavisWorks, ACAD, E3D or other 3D model tool suites etc. is beneficial.
Strong experiences on similar projects working with engineering document management systems (EDMS).
