Child & Adolescent Clinical Psychologist

Job Responsibilities

• Competently assesses patients and family's needs, abilities or behaviour using a variety of methods, including psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation of their behavior
• Devises, monitors, and adapts appropriate treatment programmes, including therapy, counseling or advice, in collaboration with colleagues.
• Works as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside doctors, nurses, social workers, education professionals, health visitors, psychiatrists and occupational therapists.
• Offers therapy and treatments for issues relating to a range of mental health conditions
• Develops and evaluates service provision for patients
• Provides consultation to other professions, encouraging a psychological approach in their work
• Carries out applied research, adding to the evidence base of practice in a variety of healthcare settings.

Education

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and at least six years of a post-graduate degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institute/college/university or a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, and PsyD (Doctor of Psychology)

Experience

·        A minimum of two (2) years as a Clinical Psychologist in a multidisciplinary clinical setting or hospital or a mental healthcare service provider or a minimum of one (1) year as a Clinical Psychologist in a multidisciplinary clinical setting or hospital or a mental healthcare service provider.

 Certification and Licensure

·        A current license/registration to practice as Clinical Psychologist.
