• Identifying new/emerging use cases that Careem Pay should consider and developing the business case and commercial strategy for them
• Working with M&A team to drive the investment process from identification to closure
• Identifying areas where Careem Pay needs strategic partnerships or investments to meet licensing, tech, commercial or operational objectives
• Working with POCs across legal, commercial, product, engineering, marketing, regulatory, compliance, and other functional areas to achieve milestones
• Conducting research and strategic analysis of potential targets, as and when needed, to inform due diligence and valuation
• Conducting required analyses including benchmarking, market size assessments, user surveys, business plans, etc.
• Strategy execution: implementation of key strategic projects (e.g., product launches, market launches, partnership implementation)
• Corporate development: provide strategic support to our inorganic growth efforts spanning mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investment opportunities
• Supporting the sourcing of new fintech investment opportunities across multiple geographies, along the full investment process cycle from identification to closure
• Conducting market/industry studies and continuously monitoring and analysing competitor business models and product portfolios in key markets
• Strategy development: support in defining our strategy: what we want to do, and when, how and where we want to do it, including by
• Ensuring project management and delivery against milestones
• Developing analytical and conceptual frameworks to help leadership prioritise potential strategic initiatives and new sub-business/products
• Identifying Careem’s value proposition for existing and new cases, including product, user experience and commercial value proposition
• Developing progress updates for Careem Pay Board and other leadership groups
