Job Description

Serving as a liaison between medical and technical departments and executive leadership
• Studying trends in health informatics to develop improved applications and software
• Establishing standards in medical terminology and application to increase efficiency in patient care
• Advising executive leadership on the subject of health informatics and policymaking within an organization
• Training physicians and other medical professionals in IT systems and applications, particularly EMRs and computerized physician order entry (CPOE)
• Conducting data analytics research and reporting findings to other executives, government agencies, or scholarly institutions
