Your mission
As Resident Engineer Civil (Substation) in our Transmission & Distribution department you will manage the civil engineering portfolio of high-voltage power substation projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV). You will oversee technical HSE and financial performance during design and construction supervision ensuring delivery in line with contractual safety and quality standards.

Your key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise civil works for high-voltage substation projects.
• Monitor construction to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Plan organize and oversee engineering and construction inspection activities.
• Review contractor submissions shop drawings and method statements.
• Identify report and resolve non-conformance issues.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and international/local codes.
• Coordinate with the Client (e.g. TRANSCO) and other stakeholders on project interfaces.
• Oversee project closeout activities and verification of installed quantities.

Your qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities).
• Minimum 10 years experience in civil engineering with substantial experience in substation projects in the UAE.

• Strong technical expertise in civil design and construction of substations.
• Experienced in contractor supervision quality assurance and project delivery.
• Familiar with UAE authority and utility standards.

Your soft skills

• Strong leadership coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.

Preference

• Prior experience with TRANSCO ADDC DEWA or other major UAE utilities will be highly preferred.
