We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Designer with strong experience in FEED and Detail Design phases of onshore oil & gas projects preferably with exposure to ADNOC standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing HVAC design deliverables ensuring compliance with project specifications international codes and ADNOC requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop HVAC design deliverables including:HVAC layouts (equipment ducting piping)HVAC equipment selection and data sheetsDucting and piping routing drawingsControl schematics Bill of quantities (BOQ)
- Coordinate with mechanical electrical instrumentation and architectural teams to ensure integration of HVAC systems.
- Prepare and review HVAC design documents in line with FEED and Detail Design requirements.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards project specifications and relevant international codes (ASHRAE SMACNA etc.).
- Support in HVAC load calculations equipment sizing and system design.
- Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for technical clarifications and design validation.
- Attend design review meetings (Model Reviews HAZID HAZOP etc.).
- Provide design support during procurement construction and commissioning phases.
- Incorporate ADNOC and client feedback into the design deliverables.
- Assist in 3D modeling of HVAC systems using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD MicroStation SmartPlant 3D or similar).
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma / Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 8 years of experience in HVAC design with minimum 3-5 years on ADNOC onshore projects (FEED and Detail Design).
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems used in oil & gas facilities (substations control buildings shelters substations utility buildings).
- Proficient in HVAC design software such as HAP Carrier E20 or similar tools.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and experience with 3D modeling software is a plus.
- Knowledge of ADNOC design standards and documentation practices.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality deliverables within tight deadlines.
- ASHRAE membership or certifications (preferred)
- ADNOC-approved designer status (preferred)
